Blogging for a Good Book

perksNancy from Circulation Services provides today’s review of a favorite Young Adult book.

Charlie is not your average high school freshman, as you will read in this coming of age story. In a series of blatantly honest letters to an unknown recipient, Charlie lays out his deepest fears, joys, and struggles while trying to survive his freshman year and deal with his past and the events that shaped him into a wallflower. Don’t be discouraged by the seemingly serious topic, for this story also includes true to life goofy thoughts of teenagers, hair-brained schemes, love triangles, sex, drugs, rock and roll, and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show!” Read on!

Charlie starts his story with the quote,

So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I’m still trying to figure out how that could be.

As the story progresses it…

Five Things Wrap Up: Throne of Glass

Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas is one of the best high fantasy young adult books I have ever read. It was so awesome; I couldn’t put it down. The action was fantastic, and the characters were even better. Throne of Glass is about a teenage assassin, Celaena Sardothien, who will be granted her freedom in four years’ time if she wins the king’s championship. There are twenty-three other possible champions that she must face over thirteen weeks of training and tests. Book reviews.

This is my book reviewing page. All the books I post about I have read and I would encourage people to read.

The first series of books I’m reviewing is The Vampire Academy by the wonderful Richelle Mead. I most say that I adore this series which follows the adventures of Rose Hathaway a guardian in training and her best friend Lissa a moroi princess with a somewhat unique gift. And lets not forget Dimitri. (Fans self with book) The insanely hot and badass Russian Guardian. The author with have you crying yet begging for more, this is a must read I could not put it down. The Strigoi will have you hating vampires in no time, as will some of the royals in the later books. There were times I didn’t think i would make it through, times my heart was breaking for the characters but I stand by this amazing series of heart wrenching books. I know there is a film out, if you enjoyed that then you MUST read the books. I really hope I encourage you guys to get out there and start reading this series. I love it and have reread it way to many times.
